DAREN INDUSTRIES
GOSHEN, Indiana

Daren Industries, Inc. traces its roots to SW Manufacturing Company Inc., started in 1913 by Harry Stell on May Street in Chicago. The company initially manufactured hardware for the trunk and luggage industry. Warren J. Stell Sr. joined the company in the mid 1930's at the height of the Great Depression. At the close of World War II with the radical change in the economy and traveling habits of the population, the company started manufacturing a variety of parts for the recreational vehicle industry. After the passing of Warren in 1965, his wife Ginny purchased Harry's shares of stock. Ginny appointed her son Dave as president in 1967. He changed the company name to Daren Industries, Inc. in 1971 after purchasing the company from his mother. The name is a combination of Dave and Warren, son and father. In 1982, he moved the company to Goshen, Indiana following the rapid expansion of the RV Industry. Due to the beneficial proximity to leading manufacturers and distributors in the area, that move facilitated the addition of stamped and fabricated components for the electronics and automotive industries, and orthopedic and marching band product lines. Daren Industries continues to be a third generation, family-owned and operated company. We are continually adding new product lines and manufacturing, fabricating, and welding processes. The year 2013 is our centennial. This momentous event is made possible with the loyal support of our employees, customers, vendors and friends. We look forward to celebrating 100 years serving our customers.
