Van L. Pell and Robert J. Bulla first met in 2004 Pell was engaged in an assignment by a group of investors to provide an evaluation of their substantial intrest in a problem company. One asset that was claimed by the company was a proprietary technology that made plastic materials uniquely resistant to UV radiation.

To assess the value of these claims, Pell commenced research into the growing field of materials and technologies that were rapidly making inroads into such markets as exterior trim, decking, outdoor furniture and others traditionally suffering from the effects of an outdoor enviroment. Pell was introduced to Robert Bulla who is considered an industry expert in the rapidly emerging field of wood plastic composites. Bulla was particular know for his unique expertise and ability to injection mold parts and components using these materials and was credited with several product innovations.

Pell & Bulla quickly agree that emerging material technologies were poised to impact product markets at a rapidly increasing pace, but by its history and financial condition, the traditional injection molding industry was not in a position to assume a role of leadership in creating these opportunities. Collaborating together they developed a business plan that took these ideas deeply into consideration and formed the foundation of a unique injection molding company. In late 2005 Commercial Plastic Composites concluded an acquisition of an existing injection molder to launch our business plan and enhance our credibility within the market.

Today the fully intergrated company has moved from a starter facility of 10,000 square feet to a new 30,000 square foot facility, which sits on 4 acres.
